Pratham was founded on the belief that every child has the right to a quality education. Two decades later, we are one of India’s largest and most successful non-governmental education organizations, having affected the lives of more than 58 million underprivileged children since our inception in 1995.

Pratham USA is a volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) charity with 16 chapters across the United States that raise awareness and mobilize financial resources for our work on the ground.

For eight consecutive years, Charity Navigator has awarded Pratham USA a four-star rating for our “sound fiscal management” and “commitment to accountability and transparency,” a distinction that places us in the top 3% of 1.5 million American charities.
