Judah Brown Project began after the tragic drowning death of my three-year-old son, Judah.
Until I was in the hospital, with my son on life support, I didn't know that drowning is the number 1 cause of accidental death in children ages 1-4 years old and number 2 cause of accidental death in children ages 4-14 years old. A child is 14 times more likely to die from drowning than in a car accident. Most children who drown, die and those who don't, live with severe brain damage.
Most parents don't know how to properly protect their children from this tragedy because they aren't taught this by their pediatricians or their children's caregivers. Most don't learn about water safety until it's too late for thier child or another child they love. Judah Brown Project exists to change that. We provide funding for survival swim instruction, CPR certification, and other lifesaving education to families of children ages 1-4 to help prevent those children from drowning.
