Amaanah empowers the most vulnerable populations with opportunities to have access to social and economic equity.
Imagine coming to a new country and starting school in a foreign language that you must learn in order to pass? Amaanah's YES (Youth Empowerment Services) program targets newcomer students in schools and help bridge the gap in the students educational career. Amaanah's focus is focus on holistic services for students in our program. That means aside from tutoring services Amaanah bridges the gap between students and their family such as food insecurity, training, esl services and more.
Our YES program also encorporates student athletes who won the Houston leagus championship in 2019 and nominated by the Houston Dynamos for building bridges in the community.

There is no fundraising minimum to participate, and we encourage you to set a high goal, at least $1,000. You have nothing to lose and so much to gain. Run Houston! For a Cause awards the following additional donations to the nonprofits of the highest athlete fundraisers.
$1,500 in additional prize donations to win for your cause
- 1st place athlete fundraiser wins $500, 2nd place wins $400, 3rd place wins $300, 4th place wins $200 and the 5th place athlete fundraiser wins $100
