Thank you for visiting my Team "The Diaper Foundation" page.
You may or not know that I have been apart of the organization, The Diaper Foundation since 2015, founded by Houston's own Hope Ewing, which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
Upon research and to our dismay, we found out that the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) federally funded program that provides food, nutritional counseling, and access to health services for low-income women, infants and children, does not include diapers or vouchers to purchase diapers. The average infant uses up to 12 diapers per day, and the average toddler uses 8 diapers per day. Basic diapers are a basic necessisty of life but for those who need them and cannot affored them, then the diapers become a rationed commodity. A crying child who is left in a soiled diaper can lead to many health issues and in some instances, horrific cases of domestic situations.
The premise of our foudation's goal is simple. We distribute diapers to families who are unable to purchase an adequate supply for their infants and children.
This year my race will be the Run Houston, Sugarland 5K race and I need you to sponsor me with any gift amount by November 30, 2015.
I will do this in honor of the innocent infants and children who only require that as a community we love, care for and protect them. And with your help we can continue to do that by you supporting The Diaper Foundation with your donation.
