The Society of American Military Engineers is the only nonprofit professional engineering education organization that actively promotes the advancement of both individual technical knowledge and the collective engineering capabilities of governments, the uniformed services and private industry.
Our goal is to unite public and private sector entities and individuals in the A/E/C fields so that we can prepare for and overcome natural and man made disasters, acts of terrorism and improve security at home and abroad.
The Houston Post accomplishes this goal locally by supporting monthly luncheon meetings and other professional/social activities attended by members of local government, military, private industry, students and other interested parties. These meetings are announced via our e-mail distribution list and quarterly newsletter. We are supported by the national Society of American Military Engineers and publications such as The Military Engineer, which also promotes the interests and goals of our society and its members. Please peruse our website to discover the benefits of SAME Houston Post membership.
Thank you for visiting my Society of American Military Engineers–Houston Galveston Post Team page!
I’m very excited to be participating on September 20, 2020 in the Run Houston University of Houston 5k event while representing the SAME – Houston/Galveston Post.
SAME is a non-profit engineering organization that focuses on bringing together the public and private sectors in the A/E/C fields and promotes the advancement of both individual technical knowledge and the collective engineering capabilities of governments, the uniformed services and private industry. The SAME organization is reaching 100 years since it was effected a permanent organization, and the Houston/Galveston post has been around for 22 of those years. The SAME – Houston/Galveston Post commits to distribute approximately $20,000 in college scholarships annually, sending High School students to SAME Engineering & Construction summer camps to promote engineering technical skills and leadership, developing mentoring opportunities, supporting local and regional science fairs and math counts, as well as contributing donations to the Fisher House and the Houston Food Bank.
I ask that you click the SPONSOR ME button on this page and contribute to help provide a brighter future for those people served by the SAME – Houston/Galveston Post. Contribute what you wish. Any amount will make a difference.
I would also love to have you join as a participant of the SAME – Houston/Galveston Post Team, but let me encourage you to NOT wait. September 20th will be here before you know! Just ask me how to join my team.
Thank you for your support. It means more to me than I can express.
Please forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate or join our team.
