Hey everyone!  I’m joining the team!  I will be running in the Run Houston! Clear Lake 10k with the women of the National Association of Women in Construction who have graciously chosen the SHE IS A CEO Foundation as their charity of choice.

As the CEO, I am humbled that these accomplished women are supporting our mission to encourage entrepreneurship, self love and charity among young girls.

This year we are sponsoring 300 6-8th grade girls to participate in our Entrepreneurship Academy and annual conference.  The cost to sponsor one girl is $200.  With those funds we are able to provide a complete dual curriculum of business and character education where girls will hear from successful women entrepreneurs and community leaders, complete business plans and pitch their business to Women CEO’s in our ‘Fish Tank’ competition.  The girls learn everything from social media etiquette to business finances.  We purchase supplies and CEO swag, meals and sponsor cultured field trips such as a day at the Houston Polo Club, NASA STEM activities or an evening at the Houston Ballet.  We also provide custom Academy blazers and monetary prizes between $100-$500 to invest in their first small business.  We hope to build the girls self esteem and to show them, through the journeys of so many successful women, that they can achieve any goal they are willing to work for.

Please join me by donating any amount, starting your own team, or just spreading the word on the need to encourage entrepreneurship amongst girls!  My Reason2Race: building CEOs one little girl at a time!
