Hannah's Hope Fund

Welcome to Team Hannah's Hope Fund and Justin's Triumph over GAN. We raise funds to support the development of a treatment and cure for Giant Axonal Neuropathy (GAN), and to be the resource for doctors, scientists and families world-wide.  GAN is an extremely rare and fatal genetic disease.  There are only 63 known cases world-wide.  The life expectancy for these children is only into their 20's.  In 2015, the FDA approved an experimental trial -- so far, 2 patients have been injected.  Help us raise money to continue our search for a cure for GAN.

Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Triathlon
June 22, 2014
 Sugar Land, TX

I met Justin when I started attending Crossroads School in Houston when I was diagnosed with dyslexia.  It turned out that I knew his brother because we were on the same swim team.

I volunteered with my mom and my sister at the Oilman Triathlon and watched Jared and his mom Lagenia race to raise money for GAN, a fatal neuropathy that both Justin and his sister Lexi have.

My mom was inspired to start doing triathlons and I wanted to do them as well.  I love the swim and the bike and am learning to enjoy the run.  My goal at the SugarLand Triathlon is to run the entire 5K distance without walking after the swim and the bike.

Thanks for supporting my race, and for helping find a cure and treatment for GAN.
