Houston Humane Society

The Houston Humane Society is dedicated to, and working towards, ending cruelty, abuse and the overpopulation of animals while providing the highest quality of life to those in our care.

We receive no federal, state, or local government funding and rely solely on donations, program services, and special events.  HHS is committed to creating awareness of animal welfare throughout the Houston community by providing numerous programs for Houston area residents and their pets, including pet adoptions, humane education, Animal Crimes Unit (ACU) cruelty investigations, and Houston's best high volume, low cost spay/neuter and wellness clinic.

With your help we can reduce animal suffering throughout the Houston area.  Adoption, volunteering, education, participating in our special events, or making a donation to help support our programs, are all ways you can help HHS make a difference in lives of abused, homeless, and neglected animals.

Biography

The 40 Days to Personal Revolution program has transformed and IMPACTED my life in so many ways and I am so excited to embark on my 4th challenge! This time around, the BIG Power Yoga community has been given the opportunity to IMPACT the world we live in and I could not be more proud to be a part of such an amazing group of yogis.

When I think about other things that have made a huge IMPACT on my life - the first thing that came to my mind was all of the fur-babies I have had the chance to interact with and have as part of my life as pets/family members ( special shout out to Jack, Jill, Annie, Dakota and Chloe)! Animals and pets are so incredible in that they love unconditionally and whole heartedly - and that is something I truly inspire to achieve in my own way of living and interacting with others around me.

For the the 40 Days: BIG IMPACT Charity Challenge, I will be raising funds for the Houston Humane Society. The Houston Humane Society is dedicated to, and working towards, ending cruelty, abuse and the overpopulation of animals and they receive NO federal, state or local funding - which means, they solely rely on donations, program services and special events to get the funds they need to be able provide the best services (and love!) for the animals that come into their care.

THANK YOU for your support and contribute what you wish. Any amount will make a difference: $5, $10, $25, $50, $100, $500, $1,000 or other.  Also, please know that the Houston Humane Society has been experiencing a major food shortage at the shelter this summer. If you would like to donate dog or cat food, visit the HHS website for information on how to donate TODAY!
