On September 20, 2020, I will be participating in the 
RUN HOUSTON RUN Campaign. This is my first time doing this event, but due to Degenerative Disc Desiese & Chronic Sciatic pain, I will be on the sidelines doning whatever is necessary and cheering my team on!

I have chosen to pledge for DD's Organization. And I've also partnered with REASON2RACE as well as participate. I'm the founder/owner of D'Vine Destiny Ministry & Crisis Center which is a Faith-based Nonprofit 501c3 Organization who is committed to engage families, empower Women, and in mobilizing communities towards the elimination of all types of violence and sex trafficking against Women & Children. To help them achieve eveonomic self-efficiency by providing; support, education, counseling, resources, job referrals as well as providing physical & spiritual food for the soul.

DD's is now a intake hotline which helps families get the help & resources to escape their abusers. Believing one day to become a full operating transitional home for upto one year of stay which is based on the clients participation. This will help them remain safe and rebuild their lives.

This is very personal to me because I'm a 20 year Survivor, Educator & Advocate. I personally experienced this abuse along with my Children for 13 years. My abuser decided to abandon his family which was a Godly move in disguise! I'm remarried and my husband lost his 26 year old Daughter from domestic violence. The numbers are constantly rising and many of people we know personal is caught up in this cycle.
